How to Make Authentic Matcha Latte at Home

Ingredients:

  • Matcha powder: 2.5g or more (adjust to your preference)


  • Ice cubes: 7 pieces (to fill the glass, plus 1 extra)


  • Water: 30 ml

  • Whole milk (with at least 3.5% milk fat): 75 ml

  • Sugar: 3-5g

Step-by-Step Instructions

Add the matcha powder, 1 ice cube, and water to a shaker or sealed container.
Secure the lid tightly.

    Shake the container vigorously up, down, and side to side. 
    Continue shaking until the ice cubes have broken down into smaller pieces.
    (If the container isn't sealed properly or has any damage, it could lead to spills. Before shaking vigorously, it's best to first gently tilt the sealed container to check for any liquid leakage.)

    Add 6 ice cubes to the glass. 

    Add the milk and sugar to the glass and stir until the sugar has fully dissolved.

    Slowly pour the contents from the shaker into the glass containing the milk.
